M&G Investments, one of the UK’s largest active investors with over £194 billion in assets under management, recently embarked on a strategic review of their Equities IT functions.

M&G selected Parere to provide an interim Head of Equities IT with a high level of expertise and a deep understanding of managing a technology group for an Investment Management business.

Parere assigned Mark Newton, a Managing Consultant with extensive buy-side industry experience. Mark’s role included the following:

  • Completion of a Current State Equities IT Diagnostic Review
  • Definition of a proposed Equities IT Organisational structure
  • Recruitment of a new permanent Head of Equities IT
  • Planning and execution of handover to recruited successor
  • Overseeing delivery of uninterrupted “business-as-usual” Equities IT
  • Provision of on-going Support and Mentoring
